NCCE Ga South Strengthens Stakeholder Partnerships to Enhance Civic Education

The Ga South Municipal Office of the NCCE has paid courtesy calls on three key institutions as part of its stakeholder relationship-building initiative. The team engaged the Ghana Education Service (GES), the Ghana Police Service, and the Ghana National Fire Service within the municipality to explore areas of collaboration.

At the GES Directorate, discussions focused on expanding civic education in schools, including the mobilisation of students for programmes such as NCCE's Annual Constitution Week and Citizenship Week, First-Time Voter education, and Civic Education Clubs. The Directorate further appealed for NCCE’s support in sensitising parents on the Right Age Enrollment campaign, and encouraging children to take the dewormer during school health programmes.

At the Ghana Police Service, the NCCE reaffirmed its commitment to promoting peace, law, and order through joint sensitisation programmes, while the Police pledged continuous collaboration on issues such as crime prevention, domestic violence, and civic responsibility. The engagement with the Ghana National Fire Service centred on fire safety education, disaster preparedness, and environmental governance, with both institutions agreeing to partner on school fire safety campaigns, anti-bush burning sensitisation, and educational excursions. These engagements forms part of the Commission’s broader strategy to strengthen stakeholder relationships and advance civic education for national development.
