Courtesy call by the UEW, Civic Education Club old and new executives.

The outgoing and incoming executive members of the Civic Education Club of the University of Education, Winneba (UEW-CEC) have paid a courtesy call on the Winneba office of the NCCE.

The purpose of the visit was to introduce the newly elected executives of the Club by the old executives, to the Effutu NCCE Director and his staff.

Mr. Sena Bosson-Amedenu, the NCCE Municipal Director, thanked them for the courtesy call and warmly welcomed them to the Effutu Directorate of the NCCE. He congratulated the newly elected executives on their election and commended the outgoing executives for a job well done.

In his speech, he spoke about how their predecessors contributed immensely to the growth of the Club and how they sustained the radio program, expanded the Club by creating branches on other campuses, and added a socialization aspect like the beach hangout. He said such activities not only build team spirit but also attract new members.

He urged the new leadership to build on these solid achievements while bringing their fresh ideas on board. He again gave the four pieces of advice thus;

1. Be committed and lead by example. He urged them to make time for the Club and be transparent in all their dealings.

2. See this as a training ground. He told them that the club will give them exposure, confidence, and networks that will benefit them in the future.

3. Make their work visible. He encouraged them to publicise and report their activities using social media since it has a large audience.

4. Lastly, he urged them to stay guided. He advised them to let their actions be guided by the core values and mandate of the NCCE and their own constitution, while telling them to be humble and be open to constructive criticism.

Mr. Sena Bosson-Amedenu encouraged them to do their best and keep in mind that the doors of the Effutu NCCE office are always open to guide and support them.
