Ablekuma West NCCE Engages Fishmongers on Civic Duties During Annual Constitution Week

As part of the 2025 Annual Constitution Week celebration, the Ablekuma West Municipal Directorate of the NCCE held an interactive session with fishmongers at the Apostolic Church Auditorium in Glefe. The engagement, under the theme “Ghana’s Future: Our Collective Responsibility”, focused on promoting civic values and responsibilities outlined in Article 41 of the 1992 Constitution. The Municipal Director, Ms. Georgina Ohemeng, led the session, using relatable examples to explain essential national values and the role citizens play in nation-building.

Ms. Ohemeng emphasised patriotism, urging the fishmongers to show unwavering love for Ghana. She encouraged integrity, discipline, hard work, and environmental consciousness, stressing the need for honesty, mutual respect, and the importance of maintaining clean surroundings. On unity, tolerance, and accountability, she reminded them to work together peacefully, take responsibility for their actions, and demand transparency from public officeholders. The session concluded with a call for all participants to be responsible citizens committed to the country's development.
