Good Citizens of Ghana, as cases of COVID-19 in Ghana, continue to rise, the NCCE reiterates the need for citizens to continue to adhere to all existing safety protocols as we did in the initial stages of the pandemic.
- Regular handwashing with soap under running water is still necessary.
- Avoid crowded places and observe physical distancing especially during social events.
- The law on wearing FDA approved disposable or homemade face mask is still in force.
- Remember to mask up correctly; from the nose through to the chin, anytime you step out.
- Sanitise your hands regularly with alcohol-based hand sanitizer.
- Continue to eat immune-boosting foods such as fruits and green leafy vegetables.
- Avoid touching your eyes, nose, mouth, and the front of your face mask. If you must, sanitise your hands immediately.
- Call 112 if you experience symptoms of COVID-19 such as coughing, sore throat, runny nose, fever, difficulty in breathing, headache, and loss of sense of taste or smell.
- Rely on the Ghana Health Service and the Ministry of Health for COVID-19 information.
- COVID-19 is real and still with us! Don’t be complacent.
- Note, you can contract COVID-19 from anyone including work colleagues, family, religious gatherings, in public transport, at the shopping mall, at restaurants, at the market, and anywhere. Don’t be careless!
- The fight against the pandemic is real! Protect yourself and others. It is our civic responsibility.
