As part of the 2025 Annual Constitution Week celebration, staff of NCCE's Ga South Municipal office, Ms. Rita Dzifa Aklinu and Ms. Mabel Sroda Ahiagba, held civic education outreach programmes in the Domeabra Obom Constituency. The sensitisation took place in several churches, including Flames of Pentecost, Church of Pentecost, Christ Apostolic Church, and Apostolic Church Ghana, Krokohwe.
The outreaches were under the Commission’s theme “Ghana’s Future: Our Collective Responsibility”, and also focused on Article 41 of the 1992 Constitution, which outlines the duties and responsibilities of citizens. Emphasis was placed on civic duties such as obeying laws, paying taxes, and protecting state property. The team also used the platform to draw attention to environmental governance. They urged participants to help preserve natural resources and practice good sanitation.
Participants were encouraged to be more involved in the lives of their children by monitoring their friendships and offering proper guidance. The NCCE team reminded the public that responsible parenting, civic-mindedness, and environmental consciousness are foundational to building a peaceful and prosperous Ghana.
