Sekyere Central NCCE Commemorates Citizenship Week with an Inter-School Quiz

The National Commission for Civic Education has kick-started activities to mark one of its flagship programmes, “the Citizenship Week Celebration”. It is in this light that the Sekyere Central Office of the Commission organised an Inter-School Quiz Competition for some schools in the Municipality.

As the 2025 edition is hinged on the theme, “Ghana’s Future: The Role of the Ghanaian Child”, questions for the competition hovered around ways the young citizen of Ghana can contribute to the growth and development of our beloved nation.

The Competition was patronised by many schools within the enclave. Contestants of the various schools displayed depth of knowledge in the subject matter, thrilling the audience with the clarity and spot-on responses that were elicited from them.

At the end of the competition, however, three schools stood tall and outshone their colleagues from other schools. Taking the first position was Jeduako Presby JHS, who were closely followed by Jeduako Saviour JHS. Jeduako Methodist JHS, after the wonderful performance, grabbed the third position.

Contestants were presented with certificates and gift items for pulling off the exceptional performances. They were also encouraged to keep up with the good work, while ensuring they adopt and live by all the duties of a citizen as the 1992 Constitution of the Republic of Ghana prescribes.
