NCCE Eastern Regional Office clean-up exercise at Otrokper Proper and Otrokper Ochirebentoa

The Eastern Regional Office of the National Commission for Civic Education (NCCE), in partnership with Fidelity Bank Ghana Limited, has embarked on a community climate action and clean-up exercise at Otrokper Proper and Otrokper Ochirebentoa in the Upper Manya Krobo District.

The exercise, held under the theme “Protecting Our Environment: Reduce, Reuse, Recycle”, forms part of efforts to respond to Ghana’s growing climate and environmental challenges—especially plastic waste pollution, poor sanitation, and deforestation. The initiative also reinforces civic responsibility as outlined in Article 41(k) of the 1992 Constitution of Ghana, which mandates citizens to protect and safeguard the environment.
