Zebilla NCCE Calls for Unity and Reflection at National Day of Prayer

The Zebilla District Directorate of the National Commission for Civic Education (NCCE) has engaged congregants of the Pentecost Church at Aneogo in observance of this year’s National Day of Prayer and Thanksgiving, under the theme “Resetting Our Values to Build the Ghana We Want.”

Addressing the gathering, District Director, Mr. Muniru Alengah, urged all religious bodies and citizens, regardless of faith or political affiliation, to embrace the values of peace, national unity, reflection, and gratitude. He emphasised that these shared principles underpin Ghana’s democracy and development.

Mr. Alengah described the observance as a vital moment for Ghanaians to reflect on the nation’s collective journey, express gratitude, and recommit to good citizenship. He particularly called on the youth to live by values that promote harmony, truth, hard work, and service to the country, stressing that with God’s guidance, Ghana can be built into a nation of peace, dignity, and prosperity.

He concluded by admonishing the gathering not to limit their commitment to July 1st alone, but to continue upholding Ghana through their words, actions, and prayers.
