VOTER EDUCATION - 2024 PRESIDENTIAL AND PARLIAMENTARY ELECTIONS

Dear Citizens of Ghana, the time to exercise your civic duty is here again. This year, we the good people of Ghana have another opportunity to elect our leaders; a President and Parliamentarians. This is a very important national exercise and you have the civic duty to participate and make that decision for Ghana. Don’t be indifferent because your vote counts.

WHAT IS HAPPENING ON DECEMBER, 7, 2024?

All eligible voters; registered voters are required to vote on Saturday, December 7, 2024. We are to vote to elect a President for the Republic of Ghana and Members of Parliament. This is a civic exercise that takes place every four years.

WHY YOU SHOULD VOTE ON DECEMBER, 7, 2024

  • Voting is a patriotic responsibility and a right
  • Your vote is the democratic power you hold as a citizen of Ghana in selecting who leads our beloved country, Ghana
  • Voting amplifies your voice and that allows you to participate in a major decision-making process for the country
  • The 1992 Constitution of Ghana which is the fundamental law of our country, backs your right to vote.

WHO QUALIFIES TO VOTE?

  • A citizen of Ghana
  • Eighteen (18) years of age or above
  • And of a sound mind
  • Who is a registered voter

WHEN ARE WE VOTING?

Saturday, December 7th 2024 from 7:00 am -5:00 pm.

  • A valid voter ID card
  • Know your polling station

NCCE is an independent, governance institution set up under Article 231 of the 1992 Constitution of Ghana.

We work to promote and sustain Ghana’s democracy. We work to inculcate in the Ghanaian citizenry, the awareness of their rights and obligations, through civic education.
