The British High Commissioner to Ghana, Harriet Thompson, and the Chairperson of the NCCE, Ms. Kathleen Addy have met in Accra to discuss wide-ranging issues on civics and possible collaboration between the two institutions.
Ms. Addy at the meeting intimated that the NCCE is passionate about building a Civic culture and sustaining Ghana’s democracy. She strongly advocated the need to pursue civics with renewed interest and passion in a bid to foster behavioural change in society.
For her part, the British High Commissioner acknowledged the important role the NCCE plays in society and called for support for the Commission to accomplish its mission. The two had lengthy discussions on issues of civics, governance, and democracy. Present at the meeting were Commissioners, Members, and Directors of the NCCE.
