The New Juaben South Municipal office of the National Commission for Civic Education (NCCE) through its Civic Education Club (CEC) has sensitized students of the Freeman Methodist Junior High School about the COVID-19 pandemic and the vaccine.
Addressing the students, staff and the Headmaster of the school, a Civic Education Officer, Mr. Stephen Appiah asked the students to ignore myths about the vaccine. He explained that vaccination is a simple, safe, and effective way to protect people against harmful diseases and viruses. Vaccines according to him boost your body’s natural defences system to build resistance to a specific virus.
Mr. Appiah said the vaccine has a high efficacy rate explaining to the audience that Ghana’s Food and Drugs Authority has approved the vaccine. Other Civic Educators present took turns to entreat the teachers and students to always observe all the COVID-19 safety protocols.
