New Juaben North NCCE engages youth on rule of law and the fight against corruption

The New Juaben North Office of NCCE in partnership with Deutsche Gesellschaft für Internationale Zusammenarbeit (GIZ) GmbH and co-funded by the European Union engaged some selected youth from the New Juaben North Municipality on The Rule of Law and the Fight Against Corruption on 29th August, 2025 at the Church of Jesus Christ of the Latter Day Saints- Effiduase.

This activity was aimed at empowering the youth with the knowledge on their rights and the protections afforded by the Whistle Blowers Act and other Legislations, empowering them to speak out against wrongdoing without fear, while fostering a sense of civic duty and responsibility among the youth.

Present at the programme were Mr. Ebenezer Acheampong (Municipal Director of NCCE New Juaben North), Madam Hannah Morrison( Director of CHRAJ) and Madam Mabel Serwaa Boateng ( Municipal Crime Officer of the Ghana Police Service NJNM).

Mr. Acheampong spoke extensively on Corruption and its related matters, citing practical examples relating to day to day activities.

Madam Morrison on her part educated the participants on their basic Rights and Responsibilities.

The NJNM Crime Officer also presented on the duties of the Ghana Police Service in fighting Corruption.

The engagement was interactive as Participants were given the opportunity to ask questions bothering them. The participants expressed their appreciation to the NCCE, GIZ and EU for such educative engagement.
