Kadjebi (O/R), April 25 — The Kadjebi District Directorate of the National Commission for Civic Education (NCCE), in collaboration with the European Union (EU) and GIZ, has organized a sensitization program for students of Kadjebi-Asato Senior High School (KASEC) on the rule of law and the fight against corruption.
The initiative, under the PAIRED program, targeted members of the Civic Education Club and other youth groups to enhance their understanding of governance, accountability, and ethical conduct.
Mr. Daniel Agbesi Latsu, the District Director, said the engagement was part of ongoing efforts to empower young people to become responsible citizens and advocates for integrity. He encouraged participants to uphold the values of transparency and serve as change agents in their schools and communities.
Miss Lawrencia Agyemang of CHRAJ highlighted that corruption stems from unchecked personal interests and urged students to avoid conflicts of interest in decision-making. She listed bribery, embezzlement, and nepotism as common forms of corruption.
Also speaking, Mr. Shadrach Issifa stressed the importance of ethical leadership and adherence to the rule of law in building a just and accountable society.
The program was attended by members of various student associations and chaired by Mr. Joy Kwabla Mensah, Assistant Headmaster in charge of Welfare.
