The National Commission for Civic Education (NCCE), through its Zenu Zonal Council, has organized an inter-group Smart Governance Quiz for members of the Pure Heart Unity Group at Kubekro No. 1 in the Kpone Katamanso Municipality.
The program formed part of efforts to promote civic education and create awareness on key social issues such as cybercrime, child abuse, sanitation, community security, internet fraud, and child online protection.
The competition featured three rounds of questions, with participants displaying impressive knowledge and teamwork throughout the contest.
At the end of the quiz, Oak Tree (Group 2) emerged as the winners with 137.5 points, while Golden Rod (Group 1) placed second with 128 points.
Greater Accra Regional Director of the NCCE, Fredrick Mawuli Agbenu, urged participants to remain vigilant, especially in the digital space, and encouraged them to share the knowledge gained with others in their communities.
Staff of the Zenu Zonal Council present at the event included Benedicta Eyram Amekuadzi, Roland Eric Wugah, Latifa Ibrahim, Nancy S. Dogbe, RoseMary Dedjoe, and Lordina Sedinam Agbenyedor.
The initiative underscores the NCCE’s commitment to empowering citizens and promoting responsible citizenship at the grassroots level.
