NCCE Ga South Promotes Child Protection in Bortianor/Ngleshie Amanfro Constituency

The Ga South Municipal Office of the NCCE has conducted an educational outreach on Child Protection. The office engaged congregants from various churches in the Bortianor/Ngleshie Amanfro Constituency.

The session, led by Mr. Dan Abonyi Yamoah and Ms. Rita Dzifa Aklinu, highlighted the rights and welfare of children as enshrined in Chapter 5, Article 28 of the 1992 Constitution. Discussions focused on the sacred responsibility of parents and guardians to nurture and protect children, while also warning that the government has the authority to take legal action against those who maltreat or exploit them.

Mr. Abonyi Yamoah stressed the need to shield children from harmful practices, including slavery, torture, and work beyond their capacity, emphasizing their value as gifts from God. The outreach served as part of the Commission’s ’s broader mission to promote child protection, dignity, and wellbeing in communities, fostering awareness and accountability among parents, guardians, and the public.
