NCCE engages Memot Company Limited on peace ahead of 2024 elections

The Commission met with Memot Company Limited, Industrial Area, to discuss what is expected of them as citizens of Ghana in ensuring peaceful elections and how to eschew violence during this period.

Ms. Modesta Sapati, Deputy Director of Programmes discussed the possible threats to holding a peaceful election and regional security challenges during elections. The youth were also urged to get involved in the fight against violent extremism, fake news, misinformation and religious intolerance.

Mrs. Joana Ampomah Nkansah also encouraged staff present to allow others the chance to express themselves because it is their right, and most importantly, to choose their preferred candidate otherwise this may lead to violence. She further stated that if your preferred candidate wins, celebrate moderately without making inciting comments or creating a scene otherwise leave the polling station peacefully because the peace we enjoy in Ghana is not to be taken for granted.

Also present was Mr. Daniel Abbey, the Human Resource Manager at Memot Company Limited.
