The Bawku West District office of the NCCE commemorated the National Day of Prayer and Thanksgiving by engaging multiple religious institutions across the district. They included churches in Kansoogo, Aneogo, Widnaba, Teogo, and Ayaaka, as well as central mosques in Soogo, Ankpaliga No.1, and Zoaboko. The observance emphasized the national theme “Reflect, Reset, and Renew for National Prosperity”, encouraging faith-based communities to reflect on their role in promoting peace, unity, and civic responsibility.
During the sessions, District Director, Mr. Muniru Alengah called on all Ghanaians, irrespective of their political or religious affiliation, to uphold values that foster national harmony, truth, hard work, and active participation in democracy. He emphasized the importance of maintaining a spirit of national commitment beyond the day itself, noting that Ghana's prosperity hinges on sustained responsible citizenship. The events, held at the Zebilla Central Assembly of God Church and Central Mosque, brought together leaders including the District Chief Executive, religious heads, and representatives from the Immigration Service, Ghana Education Service, and the Ghana National Fire Service.
