The National Commission for Civic Education (NCCE), Central Tongu Directorate, with support from the United Nations Population Fund (UNFPA) and Global Affairs Canada, organised an educational film show at Avakpedome.
The event brought together approximately 200 participants to learn about adolescent health, gender equality, and the prevention of gender-based violence (GBV).
The film show aimed to raise awareness, encourage positive attitudes, and promote a safer and more inclusive community where everyone is treated with dignity and respect.
As part of the outreach, sanitary pads and boxes of tissue were also distributed to the participants to support menstrual hygiene and personal care.
The initiative forms part of efforts to empower communities and young people through civic engagement, education, and awareness creation.
