Citizenship week celebration activity held at Peki Adzokoe basic

Adzokoe E.P Basic School marked this year’s Citizenship Week celebration with an insightful and engaging program centered on the theme, “Ghana’s Constitution in This Digital Age: Our Collective Responsibility.” The event brought together pupils, teachers, and invited guests to reflect on the importance of upholding constitutional values in a rapidly evolving digital world.

The program featured two distinguished resource persons, Mr. Raymond Akposoe and Mr. Gospel Amedzorku, who delivered thought-provoking presentations. They highlighted how the Ghanaian Constitution remains relevant in guiding behavior, even in the age of social media and digital communication. Emphasis was placed on responsible online conduct, respect for the rights of others, and the need for students to be law-abiding citizens both offline and online.

Mr. Akposoe encouraged students to use digital platforms positively, avoiding the spread of misinformation and cyberbullying. Mr. Amedzorku also stressed the importance of understanding civic duties and promoting national unity through responsible digital participation.

The head of the school, Mr. Roland Eric Deku, expressed his appreciation to the resource persons for their valuable insights and urged students to put into practice the lessons learned. He reiterated the school’s commitment to nurturing responsible and informed citizens.
