Agotime-Ziope NCCE Marks Citizenship Week Celebration at Mangoase D/A Basic School

The Agotime-Ziope District Office of the NCCE, in observance of the Commission's Citizenship Week celebration. has engaged students of Mangoase D/A Basic School. Anchored on the theme “Growing Up Digital: The Ghanaian Child Upholding the Constitution Online”, the interface highlighted the importance of responsible online behaviour among young people.

District Director Christian Ahiawodzi admonished pupils to exercise caution when sharing information online. He stressed that before posting or forwarding any content, individuals should ascertain whether the said content is true, fair, and necessary.

He further advised them to avoid watching inappropriate videos and instead use the internet as a tool for learning and personal development.

Mr. Ahiawodzi emphasized that responsible digital conduct fosters respect for human dignity and safeguards fundamental human rights. He ended the session by encouraging the students to embrace positive online practices that reflect the values enshrined in Ghana’s Constitution.

The engagement forms part of the NCCE’s nationwide effort to instill civic values in children, ensuring they grow into responsible citizens in the digital age.
