WASEC CEC Visits GBC Headquarters

Members of the Civic Education Club (CEC) of Wa Senior High School visited the Ghana Broadcasting Corporation (GBC) to gain first-hand knowledge of how news production and broadcasting are carried out. The educational tour was designed to expose students to the practical aspects of media operations and the important role of the press in national development.

During the visit, the students were taken through the various departments of GBC and introduced to its wide range of operations, from the television to the radio. They explored units such as Ghana Television (GTV) and Radio Ghana, where staff explained the processes involved in content creation, editing, and dissemination to the public.

The highlight of the tour was the chance to sit in on a live broadcast of Real Time, hosted by Darroll Allan Tagoe. The host guided the students through the technical aspects of preparing for, presenting, and concluding a live show, giving them a deeper understanding of the behind-the-scenes work that supports broadcast journalism.
