The United Nations Youth Association, Ghana, UNYA-GH, has paid a courtesy call on the Chairperson of NCCE, Ms Kathleen Addy in Accra. The meeting between the UNYA-GH and the NCCE discussed how the UN Youth Association in Ghana can play an active role in supporting Civic Education outreaches ahead of the 2024 general election. Again the group discussed with the NCCE Chair, how the youth in Ghana can contribute meaningfully to nation-building.
The National Youth President of UNYA-GH, WH Kobina Adomadzi Longdon made an insightful presentation that highlighted the mandate and activities of the group and tabled some requests before the NCCE Chair for future collaborations.
Chairperson of NCCE, Ms Kathleen Addy received the members of UNYA-GH and praised them for the initiative and willingness to support the work of the Commission. She briefed the group about the work of the NCCE and gave the assurance that the Commission would engage them extensively on some of the proposals put forward.
The UNYA-Gh is a group made up of young leaders whose mandate among others is to promote UN youth-driven activities in Ghana.
Deputy Chairman of NCCE, Lawyer Victor Brobbey, and some senior managers at NCCE were present at the meeting.
