The Member of Parliament for Tema East, Hon. Isaac Ashai Odamtten, has paid a working visit to the Tema Metropolitan Office of the NCCE to discuss ways of strengthening collaboration.
He was warmly received by the Metro Director, Ms. Gifty Agyeiwaa Badu, and her staff, who commended him for his consistent support to the Commission, particularly his contribution to the 2024 Parliamentary Candidates’ Dialogue and the 2025 Security Constitution Quiz Competition.
In his remarks, Hon. Odamtten outlined his new role as a Member of Parliament’s Committee on Independent Constitutional Bodies, tasked with overseeing the work, budgets, and performance of institutions such as the NCCE. He reaffirmed his commitment to supporting the Commission, acknowledging its crucial role in Ghana’s democratic growth.
Responding to a request from the Metro Director, Hon. Odamtten pledged to donate a desktop computer and UPS from his Common Fund to boost their operations. He also assured the NCCE office that their request for a new office space would be given attention.
The meeting concluded with a shared commitment to deepen collaboration in promoting civic education and empowering citizens across the Tema Metropolis.
