NCCE's Deputy Chairman Highlights Commitment to Peace and Integrity Ahead of 2024 Elections at Major Civic Education Forum

Our Deputy Chairman in charge of Operations, Mr. Samuel Asare Akuamoah joined other panellists at an event jointly organised by the Ghana Catholic Bishops’ Conference, Catholic Relief Services and the Ghana Journalists Association in Accra.

The event provided a platform for key stakeholder institutions like the National Commission for Civic Education to address participants on the "Role of Civic Education in Promoting and Mainstreaming Harmony."

Mr. Akuamoah represented the NCCE and highlighted the Commission’s ongoing civic engagements nationwide with the objective to promote peace, harmony and national cohesion.

Among others, Mr. Akuamoah also reiterated the Commission’s commitment to four thematic areas going into the 2024 General Election; namely, Electoral Violence, Money in Politics, Religious Tolerance and Fake news/ Misinformation.

The 'big four', has been prioritised in all our Civic and Voter Education and public engagements with a clear purpose of ensuring a peaceful, free, transparent and participatory election before, during and even after the December polls.
