Members of NCCE’s Civic Education Club in the Global Model Community School in the Juaben Municipality have visited Parliament House in Accra. The visit was facilitated by the Juaben Municipal Office of NCCE. Members of NCCE’s CEC, periodically, visit the Parliament House to familiarize themselves with Parliamentary proceedings and interact with the Member of Parliament.
The students were made to go through the necessary security checks and were later briefed by the Public Affairs Unit of Parliament on the proceedings of the House. The students were finally ushered into the Chamber to witness proceedings between the two sides (majority and minority) in Parliament.
The Member of Parliament (MP) for the Juaben Constituency, Hon. Ama Pomaah who also doubles as the Deputy Minister of Communications received the CEC members and expressed profound gratitude to the NCCE and the management of the school for organizing such a trip. She urged the students to be patriotic and law-abiding to become good citizens of Ghana.
