NCCE Sensitizes Jirapa Shea Butter Traders on Peaceful Coexistence and Cyber Safety

The National Commission for Civic Education (NCCE) engaged members of the Jirapa Shea Butter Traders Group and other traders in a public sensitization program held on 20th May 2026 at the Jirapa Daily Market.

During the engagement, NCCE staff, Jennifer Anbana and Sulemani B. Derigubah, educated participants on the importance of peaceful coexistence and national cohesion. Traders were encouraged to maintain good relationships among themselves, with customers, and within the wider community, as peaceful interactions help promote business growth and unity.

The team also sensitized participants on cyber-bullying and internet fraud. Traders were advised to be cautious in their use of social media and to guide their children and relatives on responsible online behavior to avoid online exploitation and abuse.

The program formed part of NCCE’s ongoing public education activities aimed at promoting responsible citizenship, peaceful coexistence, and digital safety within communities.
