NCCE NANDOM PRESENTS WRITING MATERIALS TO ST. ANDREW'S JHS STUDENTS

The Nandom Municipal Directorate of the National Commission for Civic Education (NCCE) has presented writing materials and citations to students of St. Andrew's Junior High School in Nandom.

The items, donated by the Ghana Anti-Corruption Coalition (GACC), were presented at the school premises as part of efforts to promote integrity and anti-corruption education among young people.

Presenting the items, Mr. Ansingnaa Bernard D., a Civic Education Officer of the Commission, explained that the gesture formed part of activities marking African Anti-Corruption Day (AACD), observed annually. He also engaged the students on the theme, “Scaling Up the Promotion of Integrity and Anti-Corruption Actions Across Africa.”

Mr. Ansingnaa noted that the fight against corruption begins with inculcating good values in young people, adding that the NCCE, in partnership with GACC, is working to build a generation of citizens who will reject corruption and uphold integrity.

“The future of Ghana depends on the values we teach our children today. These writing materials are not just gifts; they are tools to remind you to write a corruption-free future for Ghana,” he said.

The beneficiary students expressed their appreciation and pledged to use the materials to improve their studies and serve as anti-corruption ambassadors in their school and community.

The engagement ended with a brief sensitisation session on the role of students in fighting corruption, promoting integrity and reporting corrupt practices.
