NCCE Ga Central engages Anyaa Experimental Basic School

The National Commission for Civic Education (NCCE), Ga Central Municipal has climaxed its Citizenship Week with the Anyaa Experimental Basic School.

This year’s celebration is under the theme: “Together we can build Ghana, So Get Involved” and the sub theme is “Children, Let Build Ghana Together”.

The Municipal Director, Mary Dagbah urged the pupils to be respectful and comport themselves. The Municipal Chief Executive for Ga Central, Hon. Ambrose Edward Tsegah, the resource person, donated boxes of assorted biscuits to the school.

He mentioned that children have the right to education, and to contribute to the development of the nation. He cautioned the children not to vote, coming December 7th because they are not yet 18 years old and the act is considered disobedient. He rather encouraged the students to advise their parents and older siblings to maintain a peaceful and non-violent election.

The MCE advocated that, children are great communicators and that they should be agents of peace, before, during and after the upcoming General Elections.

The year’s celebration was successful with various resource persons including the Municipal Transport Officer; the Manager Dankach Shipping Co.; Mr. Darlington Bafour Awuah; Ms. Mariam Boateng; Asst. Dir. Admin. GCMA, Mr. William Kyeremeh; CHRAJ, Erica Mensah; GCMA Budget Officer, Rita Maame Esi Boafo, some Assembly Members.
