NCCE Educates Adjen Kotoku Traders and Drivers on Environmental Sanitation

The Ga West Municipal Office of the National Commission for Civic Education (NCCE) has intensified its public education efforts on environmental sanitation by engaging traders, drivers, and other community members at the Adjen Kotoku Taxi Station (New Market) on the importance of maintaining clean surroundings.

The sensitization program was facilitated by Mrs. Abigail Kodom-Boadum as part of the Commission's mandate to promote responsible citizenship and civic responsibility.

Addressing participants, Mrs. Kodom-Boadum highlighted the importance of proper sanitation practices in preventing the spread of diseases and ensuring a healthy environment for all. She urged traders, transport operators, and patrons of the market to dispose of waste responsibly by using designated refuse bins and avoiding indiscriminate dumping of rubbish.

She further stressed that environmental cleanliness is a shared responsibility and called on community members to work together to keep the market and taxi station clean at all times.

The participants were encouraged to adopt good sanitation habits and take ownership of their environment, recognizing that a clean community contributes to improved public health and overall well-being.

The engagement forms part of the NCCE's ongoing civic education campaign aimed at promoting responsible citizenship and encouraging communities to actively participate in safeguarding their environment.
