NCCE Chair embarks on a working visit in some parts of the Ashanti Region

Chairperson of the National Commission of Civic Education, Ms. Kathleen Addy, in exhibition of leadership and responsibility towards members of staff, has embarked on a working visit to some offices within the Ashanti Region, including the Asokore Mampong and Juaben Municipal Offices as well as the Regional Office.

This action by the Chairperson was underpinned by her quest to touch base and foster rapport with the industrious officers of the Commission at the district level, discuss their operational strategies, learn of the shortfalls, and aid in addressing those challenges.

At the Juaben Office, she advised the staff to ensure that their actions, as individuals and as a collective body, should be worthy of emulation, noting that they represent the Commission in the area, hence, the need for them to demonstrate good character and professional work ethics. She commended them for the good work done thus far and admonished them to keep up with it.

In a similar fashion, she expressed delight in the staff of the Asokore Mampong Municipal for their effort in firmly holding down the Civic Education Clubs established in the senior high schools in that jurisdiction, and encouraged them to endeavour to sustain the effort and remain dutiful, as management is solidly behind them.

She leveraged the opportunity to pay a courtesy call on the Coordinating Director of the Asokore Mampong Municipal Assembly, Mr. Isaac Kwame Ellimah, who was appreciative of the visit. Interactions between them birthed an assurance from Mr. Ellimah, on behalf of the Assembly, to secure a piece of land and raise an office for the Commission in the Municipality to relocate officers from the current compact space they occupy.

Members of staff of the offices visited were excited about the close-up moment with the Chairperson and pledged their unwavering commitment and dedication to the course of the Commission. In the company of the Chairperson was the Ashanti Regional Director, Mrs. Margaret Konama.
