The National Commission for Civic Education, renowned for its expertise in public education, was invited to equip newly recruited staff attached to the Department of Public Engagement at Ghana’s Parliament House with the requisite public education skills.
NCCE's Deputy Chairman in charge of Operations Commission, Mr. Samuel Asare Akuamoah, led the session.
During a presentation, Mr. Asare Akuamoah indicated that the foundation for effective public engagement lies in imbibing the mission, vision, and core values of the institution one represents.
“You can only give what you have, so if you do not understand what drives your institution, you may not be able to make the necessary impact”, he intimated.
Mr. Akuamoah took the participants through public education strategies and skills and highlighted some civic engagements undertaken by the NCCE.
The participants expressed utmost appreciation to the NCCE through Mr. Akuamoah for the valuable insights.
