NCCE Assin Foso Educates Eagle Nest Community School Pupils on the Dangers of Drug Abuse

Staff of the National Commission for Civic Education (NCCE) in Assin Foso have urged pupils of Eagle Nest Community School to stay away from drug abuse and remain committed to their education.

The sensitization program, at the school premises, was led by Mr. Michael Sagoe and Mr. Amoah Bismark. The session formed part of the Commission's efforts to educate young people on the harmful effects of drug abuse and encourage them to make responsible life choices.

Addressing the pupils, Mr. Michael Sagoe explained that drug abuse has serious consequences, including addiction, health complications, poor academic performance, and involvement in criminal activities. He emphasized that the use of illicit drugs could destroy the future of young people and prevent them from achieving their educational and career aspirations.

He advised the pupils to avoid drugs, remain focused on their studies, and report any incidents of drug abuse or suspicious activities to their teachers or other responsible adults for appropriate action.

Mr. Sagoe further encouraged the pupils to work hard in school and make decisions that would positively shape their future rather than engage in activities that could jeopardize their lives.

The Headmaster of Eagle Nest Community School, Mr. Eric Kuma, expressed appreciation to the NCCE for the timely educational program. He noted that the sensitization had equipped the pupils with valuable knowledge on the dangers of drug abuse and expressed the hope that the Commission would continue to visit the school to educate pupils on important social and civic issues.
