The National Commission for Civic Education is noted for the inclusive nature of its public engagements. The Ledzokuku Office of the Commission ratifies this widely - known detail by holding successive interactions with transport bodies within the enclave.
Manet Taxi Driver Association, Okada Riders Association, Kia Drivers Association, Okada Boys-2 Squad, and Trotro Drivers Association were on the receiving end of these engagements in the Municipality.
Highlighting some core national values, facilitators, who are members of staff of the Ledzokuku Office, pointed out Patriotism as one of the foundational pillars every good citizen of the country must uphold. Participants were enlightened on the importance of putting Ghana first in their actions and choices. They were similarly encouraged to demonstrate love for Ghana through active participation in the governance processes and a show of responsibility.
Touching on Discipline as one of the core national values, the members of the various transport associations were cautioned to exercise ethical behaviour on the roads. Noting the increasing rate of road accidents recorded in the past months, resource persons pointed out that it has become a matter of urgency for these active users of the road to comply with all road safety regulations.
Meanwhile, other core national values, including integrity, unity, tolerance, hard work, and accountability, were also elucidated. Abiding by these and the other values of our beloved country is what will cause the transformation we all look forward to.
