Staff of the Gomoa Central District Office of the National Commission for Civic Education (NCCE) has paid a courtesy call on the newly confirmed District Chief Executive (DCE) of the area, Hon. Hackman Kobina Odoom. This interaction is in line with the Commission's deliberate efforts to establish and reignite relationships with all relevant stakeholders for easy implementation of programmes.
On behalf of the management of NCCE, the Director of the Commission's Office in the District who doubled as team lead, Mrs. Constance Akuamoah Boateng, during the interaction extended a heartfelt congratulations to the new DCE on his appointment and subsequent confirmation by the Assembly to assume the office of the first gentleman in the district.
Mrs. Akuamoah Boateng grabbed the opportunity to formally introduce the Commission to the DCE and detailed our mandate as well as our mission and vision. She equally touched on the core values of NCCE, emphasizing our presence in every district, the independence granted us by the Constitution, and the uncompromising objective stance we take as far as our integrity is concerned.
The newly confirmed DCE, Hon. Odoom, in his welcome remarks, expressed immense appreciation to the team for the gesture and insights received with regard to what pertains to the Commission.
He underscored the relevance of the Commission and indicated willingness to ensure that the members of staff carry out their mandate as smoothly as feasible. The DCE also assured the team of his support; both parties further discussed areas of collaboration.
