EKUMFI NCCE SENSITISES YOUTH OF PENTECOST CHURCH ON UPHOLDING THE CONSTITUTION BOTH ONLINE AND OFFLINE

The Ekumfi District Office of the National Commission for Civic Education (NCCE) took the opportunity during the Youth Week celebration of the Essarkyir Pentecost Church to sensitise the youth on the importance of upholding the 1992 Constitution in the digital age.

The engagement emphasised that the Constitution remains a living framework that guides citizens’ behaviour both offline and online. The message was further reinforced by provisions of the Cybersecurity Act, 2020 (Act 1038), which provides a legal framework for addressing cybercrime and protecting Ghana’s digital environment.

The congregants were encouraged to practice responsible digital engagement by respecting the rule of law, democratic principles, and the rights of others. They were also urged to uphold the civic responsibilities enshrined in Chapter 6, particularly Article 41 of the 1992 Constitution, in order to contribute to building a peaceful, secure, and prosperous nation.

After the engagement, the youth pastor, on behalf of the church, expressed his profound gratitude to the office for such awareness. A total of 106 people, comprising 46 males and 60 females, benefited from the engagement.
