CONTRIBUTE IN MAKING GHANA A CLEAN AND UNIFIED COUNTRY

The Eastern Regional Office of the National Commission for Civic Education (NCCE) has observed this year’s Citizenship Week with pupils of the Saint Joseph Ultimate Preparatory School at Nankese, in the Suhum Municipality.

The Deputy Director (DD), Madam Juliet Yeboah Simpey advised the pupils to be tolerant of each other and respect the views and beliefs of others. ‘Don’t discriminate against your friend because of his/her ethnic origin, religion, social status, and language’, she emphasised. Ms. Yeboah Simpey said in order to live in harmony and in peace with others and promote national cohesion and unity, citizens of Ghana must respect people’s rights and tolerate the views of others.

The pupils were also educated on some Ghanaian values such as discipline, respect, patriotism, nationalism, integrity, responsibility, hard work, honesty, and accountability.
