The Denkyembour District Office of the National Commission for Civic Education (NCCE) has called on in-school-youth to ensure national unity, cohesion and peaceful coexistence. The district office made this call during its sensitization engagement with the Methodist Junior High School (JHS) at Akwatia in the Eastern Region.
According to the Principal Field Officer (PFO), Mr. Arthur Ebenezer, living in peace and harmony with one another is a prerequisite for development therefore, they should endeavour to create, maintain and sustain a peaceful environment within their capacity as pupils.
In addition, the PFO assisted the pupils in outlining the duties of a citizen and advised them to promote the good name of Ghana and respect the national Symbols. He offered the pupils tips on good hygiene and how to be disciplined to ensure a clean environment.
