The Akuapem North Municipal Directorate of the NCCE has engaged with the Municipal Chief Executive (MCE) of Akuapem North, Hon. John Evans Kumordzi, in a constructive courtesy call aimed at strengthening civic participation within the municipality.
Led by Municipal Director Ms. Benedicta Duvor, the NCCE delegation, which included Nana Adwoa Oduraa III, Ms. Alberta E. Attipoe, Mr. Hanniel Wogbedi, and Mr. Eric K. Ocloo, explored opportunities for collaboration with the MCE and the Assembly in promoting civic values and encouraging active citizenship. During the meeting, both parties discussed several strategies designed to enhance community involvement in local governance and to empower residents in the municipality to participate more actively in development initiatives.
The discussions underscored the importance of fostering a participatory democracy where citizens take an active role in shaping the direction of their community.
