Adentan NCCE, GHS Engage Congregants of Christ Apostolic Church During Child Health Promotion Week

The Adentan Municipal office of the NCCE, in collaboration with the Ghana Health Service (GHS), engaged congregants of the Christ Apostolic Church at Ashiyie on the importance of childhood vaccinations and regular weighing. The civic-health outreach, held in celebration of African Vaccination and Child Health Promotion Week, was under the theme "Every Child Deserves a Healthy Future; Invest in Your Child. Attend 'Weighing' regularly." Director of Communications and Corporate Affairs at the NCCE, Mrs. Rita Amparbin-Tetteh, outlined the Commission’s mandate and the purpose of the sensitisation.

Together with Mrs. Vida Obeng Addo and Mr. Mark Baah Kumi of the Adentan NCCE office, the team educated parents on the benefits of timely vaccinations and child health practices. They emphasised the safety and availability of vaccines, encouraging guardians to prioritise child healthcare and keep medical records safe. The initiative sought to reinforce the role of civic education in promoting public health and supporting early childhood development.
