​ABLEKUMA WEST NCCE OFFICE ENGAGES DANSOMAN BASIC SCHOOL DURING CITIZENSHIP EDUCATION

The National Commission For Civic Education, NCCE, engaged students at DANSOMAN'1' Basic School in DANSOMAN Sahara within Ablekuma West municipality,

The exercise forms part of the Commission's flagship annual CITIZENSHIP WEEK CELEBRATION program, with this year's theme being "TOGETHER WE CAN BUILD GHANA, SO GET INVOLVED ", however, the 2024 Citizenship Week will be celebrated under the sub-theme "CHILDREN, LET'S BUILD GHANA TOGETHER".

Mr Eric Kwame Ampadu , the Head of Electoral Commission for Ablekuma West Municipal was the resource person.

He educated and explained the points listed below to the students;

  • To foster national unity and live - in harmony with others
  • ⁠Promote among the Youth of Ghana the Culture of political tolerance
  • ⁠Foster the spirit of loyalty to Ghana to prevent violent extremist activities
  • ⁠Respect the rights and opinions of others
  • ⁠Build a democratic culture among young people to promote peace
  • ⁠Instill Ghanaian values to cause positive attitudinal change in the pupils (patriotism/ Cleanliness) .
  • He further entreated all the students to be careful of election malpractices coming December, they shouldn't allow any political parties to persuade them with money to go cause violence .

    In conclusion to his engagement, he advised them to be hardworking and learn hard to thrive in academic excellence and also to be good and law abiding citizens to help build the nation together.
