Chairman of the NCCE, Ms. Kathleen Addy, recently served as a Special Guest at the World Press Freedom Day event co-hosted by the British High Commission and the German Embassy. The event, under the theme: "The Relevance of Press Freedom in Times of Galamsey", sought to recognise young outstanding journalists who report on environmental issues and the social consequences of illegal mining.
